Tour de Marel is an annual global charity event taking place for the second time in September 2013. Marel employees around the globe will unite to raise money for SOS Children's Villages in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.
SOS CHILDREN'S VILLAGES
With over 145 million children in the world who have lost one or both parents and are exposed to countless dangers, SOS Children's Villages plays a vital role in providing children with a safe and loving family home. The organization supports families in their care for children and gives orphaned and abandoned children a new home in one of their children's villages.
IMPACT OF MAREL'S SUPPORT
Tour de Marel raised over €50,000 in 2012. The money raised by Tour de Marel 2013 will be used to provide a better future for children in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, where a new SOS Children's Village is being built. Part of this SOS Children's Village is the construction of a quality primary school.
