The most important egg hunt of the year takes place along the fjords in Nordland and Vestland.
The egg scoop is lowered into the water.
It collects eggs of all colors and sizes.
Many so small that most people don't see them.
Ocean scientists do that.
With a magnifying glass and camera, they document the fish eggs, before taking DNA samples to see the difference between the very smallest of them.
These eggs are the first clues in the hunt for the facts: how are our coastal populations doing? To see the whole picture, we have to use both microscopes, models and the little gray ones.
