The National Artisanal Fishing Society of Peru (SONAPESCAL) is an association formally constituted in 2022 by various organizations and fishing cooperatives from northern Peru. SONAPESCAL seeks to ensure the management of the squid and parrot fisheries at the national level, through political representation and the implementation of joint solutions.
