Non-profit organization “All-Russian Association of Fisheries Enterprises, Entrepreneurs and Exporters”, BUT “VARPE” was founded in 1993.
On January 24, 1993, the Moscow Registration Chamber registered the Interregional Association of Fisheries Enterprises, Entrepreneurs and Exporters.
On January 24, 1994, the Moscow Registration Chamber issued a Certificate of Registration for the All-Russian Association of Fisheries Enterprises, Entrepreneurs and Exporters (a non-profit organization).
Today, VARPE is one of the five most influential associations of the fishing industry in the world and the leading one in the Russian Federation; its share in the annual national catch of FBG is more than 90%.
The Association includes more than 75 major partner partners - leaders of the fishing market, as well as the largest industry associations of the federal and regional scale, representing the whole geography from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka and from Murmansk to Astrakhan. Among the members of WARPE are enterprises engaged in the extraction, processing, storage, transportation of products from aquatic biological resources, as well as enterprises of aquaculture (fish farming) and the production of bio-feeds. The total catch of aquatic biological resources of the enterprises included in the Association is more than 4,000,000 tons.
The structure of the non-profit organization “VARPE” includes 75 members, including enterprises representing all geography from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka and from Murmansk to Astrakhan. In 2017, 8 enterprises joined the association and wished to become members of the non-profit organization “VARPE”.
