The Nueva Pescanova Group is present in other African countries: Angola (Marnova) where it mainly fishes red shrimp, white prawn and crab; Namibia, (Novanam and Lalandii) through which, with a workforce of 2,200 people, it captures, elaborates and markets all hake, monkfish, palometa and pink; and Mozambique (Pescamar) with more than 30 boats that fish for various species of shrimp, mainly tiger, banana, brown, ivory and jumbo.

Lalandii, a subsidiary of Namfish one of the oldest fishing companies in Namibia, was granted a seven-year licence for hake in 2000; it also received a 9 095-ton hake quota for the 2004-05 fishing season.
