Bill Price, founder and Managing Director at Rockabill, has worked in the industry since leaving school. He worked initially on his father's trawler, before acquiring his first boat in1979 - the Rockabill fleet currently consists of 9 modern trawlers. Bill briefly skippered his first boat before starting his on-shore career in 1980.
For a period of four years (1982 - 1985), co-terminously with launching his own export business, Bill was General Manager of Skerries Fishermen's Co-op, leaving the position to focus solely on his own expanding business. In 1996, Bill decided to refocus on the value-added seafood sector, establishing his factory in Balbriggan shortly afterward. |
