As part of its environmental policy, Pesquera Hayduk will change its energy matrix to natural gas at its Coishco plant in Chimbote. Before the end of the year, this factory will work 100 per cent with this fuel, considered one of the most environmentally friendly ones.
The project will require an approximate investment of USD 1.5 million in the construction of a natural gas reception station and the renewal of equipment, according to the National Fisheries Society (SNP). The service will be provided by the company Quavii - Gases of the Pacific, responsible for the massification of natural gas in the north of the country.
