Permira Advisers is a private equity firm that puts its money in international businesses with a strong European presence. The company has raised about E22 billion since 1985 to invest in business services, chemicals, consumer products and services, technology and media, and industrial markets.
Premira has made some 180 investments over the years and its current portfolio includes Freescale Semiconductor, Valentino Fashion Group, Tele Pizza, and Travelodge.
Typical investments are E500 million or more and Permira often seeks to take a majority interest in the companies they target.
