At Sea Pride we are proud to produce pilchards of the highest quality for a wide range of consumers. While closely following international food standards, we choose to practise environmentally sustainable fishing methods. We strongly believe in giving back to our community and put this into practice through our own social responsibility program.
Our cannery in St Helena Bay produces canned pilchards in tomato and chilli sauce, both in 215g and 400g cans.
After canning, the product is tested for quality – a thorough process that takes between 3 weeks and a month, before being labelled for the various customers. After labelling, the best before date is ink jetted onto the cans and the cans are then shrinkwrapped into packs of 12 (for 400g cans) and 24 (for 215g cans) units.
The packs are subsequently palletised automatically before being adequately wrapped and prepared for storage.
Our canned fish, under the “Sea Pride” brand, is marketed through our wholly owned subsidiary Fibra Resources.
