In 1998, together with our local partner, Beauchene Fishing, we founded South Atlantic Squid in the Falkland Islands, an archipelago located on the continental shelf of the South Atlantic 350 km from the mainland.
In its pure and icy waters, the Baffin Bay develops its activity fishing "Patagonian squid" and other species.
The authorities of the Falkland Islands, being aware of the richness of their fishing grounds, have implemented a series of demanding measures to control the fishery and respect and conserve the environment, such as the imposition of systems to scare away birds or avoid that the nets affect other marine species such as seals, in addition to sustainability measures of the fishery itself.
