In order to fully automate the packaging process, the development of an automatic deep-draw roller machine, the Tiromat, began in 1968. The first Tiromats achieve a drawing depth of only 6-8 mm. Considering that a draw-depth of 190 mm is no problem for the later Tiromat 3000, it is easy to measure the advances this machine type has made.
In the 70’s and 80’s the packaging machine sector becomes increasingly important. The Tiromat 3000, an automatic forming, filling and sealing machine, is presented at Interpack. Its modular design allows a wide range of package types to be produced of all imaginable films and film combinations. With the corresponding additional equipment it becomes a fully automated packaging line.
In 1994 the new Tiromat generation is launched: Tiromat Powerpak and Tiromat Compact. In 1997 a new company was formed under the umbrella of Convenience Food Systems (CFS). The products, know-how and experience of Tiromat are still alive within CFS until today. Constant developments with respect to performance improvements have lead to the launch of the CFS PowerPakNT in 2006 and the CFS PowerPakRT in 2008.
