Industrial Pesquera Santa Priscila S.A. produces and exports shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei) since 1976.
We produce in our ponds, more than 32 million kg of shrimp and we export every year to Europe, United States, Latin America and Asia.
We are specialist in producing and providing IQF head on shrimps, cooking quality, fresh frozen in brine in 7 minutes or product frozen in blocks.
Besides being shrimp producers, Industrial Pesquera Santa Priscila also produces Tilapia (Oreochromis Niloticus) fresh and frozen. Into our exotics fruit division, we produce and export mango.
We are a fully integrated company, we have our own farms (ponds), 6 laboratories for the larvae production, feed plant and 2 processing plants. This allows us to work into a coordinated and organized way and to not depend on third parties production.
August 2023 - Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui", Head Office: Tokyo, President and CEO: Kenichi Hori) decided on August 7 (ECT) to invest in the world's largest shrimp farming company, Industrial Pesquera Santa Priscila ("IPSP", based in Ecuador), through a holding company*1 ("the Company", based in Singapore) owned by IPSP's founders, and concluded related contracts today. The acquisition price for the shares is USD 360 million (approximately JPY 50 billion*2), and following the acquisition of shares, the Company will become an equity method affiliate of Mitsui. This is planned to be executed within the fiscal year ending March 2024, after the fulfillment of condition precedents, including obtaining the necessary approvals.
