El Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (SENASICA) is a decentralized body of the Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería, Desarrollo Rural, Pesca y Alimentación (SAGARPA), designed to perform a sanitary measures to protect the agricultural resources, aquaculture, and livestock pests and diseases of quarantine and economically.
SENASICA also regulates and promotes the implementation and certification of systems to reduce risks of contamination of food and their food quality, to facilitate domestic and international trade of goods of origin plant and animal.
