The merger between Pesquera Bio Bio and Camanchaca has allowed the new company recently established, Camanchaca Pesca Sur SA, obtain significant synergies and improved fleet operations, management of production plants and administrative synergies of the business of pelagic capture fisheries . Among the major highlights Camanchaca assets contributed by a fleet of seven ships and two modern plants located in Coronel (canning and fish meal and oil), which were transferred to Camanchaca Fishing South.
