Two dead and one missing when a fishing boat shipwrecked in Cantabria

Two crew members of a fishing boat have died and a third is missing in a shipwreck that occurred this morning off the coast of Santander, in Cabo Mayor, from which the other seven crew members of the ship have been rescued.
One of the two deceased crew members is from Santander and the other from Ghana, while the missing person is of Peruvian origin, as reported in a statement by the Government Delegation in Cantabria.
The Cantabrian president, Miguel Ángel Revilla, reported this Monday on his Twitter account that the Vilaboa Uno, based in Santander, had sunk with ten crew members on board. "Once again, a new misfortune at sea," said the head of the Cantabrian Executive.
As sources from the rescue operation have informed EFE, one of the ship's crew members is seriously injured.
Maritime Rescue has reported in a statement that it continues to coordinate the search for the missing crew member, specifically six miles off the coast of Santander, where the fishing boat sank, and the Helimer 202, the Salvamar Deneb, the tugboat María from Maeztu, fishing boats that are in the area, the patrol boat and the helicopter of the Civil Guard, and that of the Government of Cantabria.

Of the seven rescued crew members, one is in serious condition, according to Salvamento Marítimo.
Notice to Salvage
At 4:10 a.m., the fishing vessel notified Maritime Rescue that he had a leak in the hull and that she was sinking.
Sources from the Santander Fishermen's Association have explained to the media that they do not understand what could have happened since the ship was not fishing and the sea was calm this morning.
