A Guarda longliners adapt their online project to the needs of new consumers

• A few days ago, the Official College and the Association of Industrial Engineers of Galicia awarded Orpagu for “the best performance in the industry for its digital twin project in the refrigeration industry and the application of disruptive technologies in the traditional industry.”

Orpagu has launched a new online store, accessible at https://orpagu.com/tienda/, designed to offer consumers easy-to-prepare preparations with high-quality seafood, caught sustainably by A Guarda longliners.

The new platform was created with the aim of bringing the products of this fleet closer to homes, guaranteeing the highest quality of a wide variety of preparations with swordfish, tuna and other select species. All products were caught following the responsible and sustainable practices that characterize the activity of this organization, the most important in Europe in surface longlining.

The Official College and the Association of Industrial Engineers of Galicia awarded Orpagu a few days ago at an event in Vigo for “the best performance in the industry for its digital twin project in the refrigeration industry and the application of disruptive technologies in the traditional industry ”. This project, which was developed in collaboration with the Automotive Technology Center of Galicia (CTAG), consisted of the design of a system to unload and classify fish taking into account productivity, ergonomics, traceability and differentiation.

This new recognition highlights the commitment of the organization chaired by Joaquín Cadilla to innovation and continuous improvement in its processes, always seeking excellence and sustainability in all its operations.
