By the end of November, Russian fishermen caught more than 4.9 million tons of fish

According to the Center for Fisheries Monitoring and Communication System (CSMS - subordinate to Rosrybolovstvo), by November 28, 2023, the total volume of production of aquatic biological resources by all Russian users reached 4.9 million tons - 9.6% more than the level of the same period last year.

In the Far Eastern fishery basin, production volume increased by 15.1% and exceeded 3.7 million tons. The pollock fishery produced 21.1 thousand tons more – 1.8 million tons. The herring catch amounted to more than 340 thousand tons, flounder - 73.4 thousand tons. The volume of cod production amounted to 106.6 thousand tons. The volume of Pacific salmon production amounted to more than 608.7 thousand tons, which is 13% more than the 2021 level.
As of November 28, the total load of refrigerators for storing fish products in the Primorsky Territory was 51%. There are 58.5 thousand tons of fresh frozen fish products in the fish terminals
In the Northern Fisheries Basin, fishermen caught 432.7 thousand tons, including cod - 248.3 thousand tons, haddock - 71.8 thousand tons, capelin - 23 thousand tons.

In the Western fishery basin, production volume reached almost 70 thousand tons. In the sprat fishery, the catch amounted to more than 35 thousand tons, Baltic herring - 23 thousand tons, which is 1 thousand tons higher than the 2022 level.
In the Azov-Black Sea fishery basin, the catch amounted to more than 36 thousand tons, including 9.3 thousand tons of anchovy and 14.8 thousand tons of sprat, which is 4.8 thousand tons more than the 2022 level.
In the Volga-Caspian fishery basin, fishermen caught 76.8 thousand tons - 4.3% more than in 2022, including sprat - 27.4 thousand tons (+1.8 thousand tons).
The catch of partial fish species amounted to 19.1 thousand tons.
In the exclusive economic zones of foreign states, conventional areas and the open part of the World Ocean, the Russian fishing fleet has mastered more than 517 thousand tons.
