The Foundation for Fishing and Shellfish (FUNDAMAR) is made up of the employers' association, the Fishing Owners Cooperative of the Port of Vigo, ARVI and the unions UGT (Federation of Services, Mobility and Consumption, UGT Galicia (FeSMC UGT) and CCOO ( Federation of Services to the Citizenship of Workers' Commissions, FSC-CC.OO, of Galicia), which make up the majority of the representation in the social and economic field of sea fishing and shellfishing within the Autonomous Community of Galicia.

FUNDAMAR is the first organization within the maritime-fishing sector that has equal representation of businessmen and unions in its governing and control bodies and is open to future integrations of socio-economic actors that contribute initiatives to the sustainable development of the sector.
