The SpareBank 1 Gruppen, a part of Norway’s largest provider of financial services, and an adequate alternative to traditional financial groups. The co-operation in the alliance comprises approximately 350 bank branches and offices with total assets of about NOK 500 million and 5450 employees, of which 1150 are employed by SpareBank 1 Gruppen and subsidiaries.
The SpareBank 1 alliance is a collaboration venture between banks and financial products providers, in which 23 SpareBank 1 banks in Norway co-operate through the holding company SpareBank1 Gruppen AS, which was established in 1996.
SpareBank 1 Gruppen AS er eid av SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge (19,5%), SpareBank 1 Midt-Norge (19,5%), SpareBank 1 SR-Bank (19,5%), Samarbeidende Sparebanker AS (19,5%), Sparebanken Hedmark (12%) og Landsorganisasjonen/fagforbund tilknyttet LO (10%).
SpareBank 1 Gruppen AS eier 100 % av aksjene i SpareBank 1 Livsforsikring, SpareBank 1 Skadeforsikring AS, Bank 1 Oslo, ODIN Forvaltning AS, SpareBank 1 Medlemskort AS, samt 90 % av Actor Fordringsforvaltning AS, 19,9 % av SpareBank 1 Bilplan AS i Trondheim og First Securities ASA (24,5 %).
SpareBank 1 Gruppen AS er sammen med SpareBank 1-bankene deltaker i Alliansesamarbeidet SpareBank 1 DA, som har som formål å gjennomføre felles aktiviteter som ikke er finansieringsvirksomhet. Herunder er Alliansesamarbeidet SpareBank 1 DA ansvarlig for nettstedet www.sparebank1.no.
