Grieg Seafood ASA in the last quarter has managed to overhaul its operating profits compared to Q3 2009 and amass NOK 105.1 million (EUR 12.99 million) against the NOK 5.5 million (EUR 679,696) of last year's poor third quarter. Prices in the third quarter reached a historically high level.
The results for Finnmark and Shetland especially demonstrated a strong improvement compared with 2009.
In Shetland, the company’s EBIT before fair value adjustments of biomass per kg of its salmon produced reached NOK 10.40 (EUR 1.29) versus the loss of NOK 5.71 (EUR 0.71) in the third quarter of last year and in Finnmark reached an EBIT of NOK 9.12 (EUR 1.13) per kg against NOK 0.92 (EUR 0.11) per kg in Q3 2009.
