Going Global
Wanchese has grown to become a leading supplier of delicious seafood all over North America and Europe. A vertically integrated seafood harvester, processor, and distributor, Wanchese is capable of harvesting over 4,000 tons of wild scallops, shrimp, oysters, king crab, and other delicious seafood each year. Our state of the art processing plant, administrative offices, and cold storage facility are located in Suffolk, VA.
Research and Innovation
Wanchese Fish Company was the first seafood company to embark on a new technology that took small scallops and formed them into larger scallops. The Scallop Medallions™ were introduced to the market in 1997 and the product’s success has changed the scallop industry.
Research into new products such as Scallop Medallions and on board freezing are just two examples of how we work hard to continue to bring the best products to our customers.
