Under his leadership, the company has experienced substantial growth in distribution and product offering and emerged as a leader and benchmark for sustainability and best practices in the industry. Mike is an active member of the seafood industry community, as well as the community at large. He serves on the boards of numerous companies focused on the responsible growth of the fishing industry as a whole, including the National Fisheries Institute and Proteus Industries. His personal affiliations range from The Home for Little Wanderers, a Boston-based children’s organization, to the Dedham Tennis Club. He is also an active Dartmouth alumnus, serving as both an Executive Committee member and a class agent. Mike represents the second generation of Gortons at Slade Gorton.
