People who have consumed the mentioned products and who have a temperature, as the only symptom or together with headaches, are advised to consult their doctor and inform them about this consumption. Pregnant women should pay special attention to these symptoms, as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly. These symptoms may suggest listeriosis, a potentially serious disease that has an incubation time of up to eight weeks.

It is recalled that after the fire that devastated the Kritsen plant in Landivisiau (Finstère) on July 11, the smoked salmon processing company temporarily transferred its operations to Cuisery, Burgundy.
The Kritsen plant was founded in 1994 and has been a subsidiary of the Norwegian giant Marine Harvest since 2006. It is a fish processing company known mainly for its smoked salmon, and is considered one of the gems of the economy in the north of Finistère.
It is not known if there are other Marvest Harvest products that are affected.
