Calvo partners up with Deoleo to launch new product

Calvo Group partnered up with Deoleo to start marketing light tuna in Carbonell olive oil, a new 'premium' quality product.
This new commitment in the canning sector will allow Calvo Company to strengthen its quality brand image and to enhance its innovative line, "supplying added value" to consumers.
The olive oil sector is constantly growing, noted the agency Europa Press.
Calvo's new light tuna in Carbonell olive oil is a quality product with significant nutritional characteristics.
At present, Calvo has a staff of about 3,100 people in its 10 vessels and in four factories located in Galicia, El Salvador and Brazil.
Deoleo, a world leader in bottled oil sales, is a Spanish food group listed on the Stock Exchange.
It has leadership in international markets through the brands Carbonell, Bertolli, Carapelli and Sasso.
In 2010, Calvo obtained a net operating profit of EUR 27.1 million, representing an 80 per cent increase over 2009.
The company's revenues totalled EUR 492.1 million, according to the Spanish canning company during the presentation of the balance sheet performed in May.
