Tunacor Fisheries Limited has became the first fishing company in the country to be wholly owned by Namibian interests, after a successful takeover by local investors and fishing right holders.
The firm's previous owner, the Spanish group Pescapuerta, sold its 49 per cent shares -- including hake fishing vessels, a processing plant and a cold storage, as well as the largest property in the area of Walvis Bay.
