Oslo Bourse has launched a new seafood index that will allow investors to buy and sell exchange traded products from Friday onwards that track the shares of sea food companies.
In this new index, called OBSFX, exchange traded products will be listed in a way so as to make it easy for investors to gain exposure to it and for banks and fund managers to offer products and funds that track the index, mondovisione reported.
Seafood has become an increasingly important industry on Oslo Børs, which is shown by the fact that over the last ten years, the market value of the seafood companies listed on it has grown from NOK 14 billion (USD 1.7 billion) to NOK 148 billion USD 18 billion).
