Exalmar informed it has achieved better profit margins this year.
(PERU, 10/31/2018)
Pesquera Exalmar's net profit amounted to USD 32.1 million between January and September of this year, 76 per cent more than in the same period of 2017, despite the fact that sales fell by 13 per cent.
As of September 30, EBITDA was USD 84.7 million, compared to USD 61.3 million in the first quarter of last year.
The company explained that the greater efficiency of the fishing activity, a better distribution of the resource to the plants, fewer closure days and higher production volumes generated better profit margins.
