The Norwegian pelagic fish market continued to show contrasting trends in April, with herring entering its low season while mackerel capitalized on tight supply and robust global demand. Both species registered year-over-year value growth, supported by strategic market expansion and favorable pricing.

“April is typically a low season for herring exports, but so far this year we’ve seen limited volumes paired with higher prices,” says Paul T.
