Catches in the Sea of Okhotsk and Bering Sea

Sea of Okhotsk (pollock)
According to OSM data in the Sea of Okhotsk, the catch of pollock (industrial and coastal fisheries) as of 04/07/2024 produced 736,328 tons, including Kamchatka users caught 307,887 tons (week +12,977 tons), development - 83.6% of the quota 368,224 tons; compared to 2023 indicators -2,251 tons less (in 2023, the catch was 310,138 tons), including:
- in the North Sea of Okhotsk subzone, the total catch amounted to 273,693 tons, incl. Kamchatka - 101,352 tons;
- 271,972 tons were produced in the Western Kamchatka subzone, Kamchatka - 98,787 tons;
- 178,021 tons were produced in Kamchatka-Kurilskaya, Kamchatka – 106,451 tons;
- 12,642 tons were produced in the East Sakhalin subzone, Kamchatka - 1,297 tons.

Sea of Okhotsk (Pacific herring)
The harvest (catch) of Pacific herring in the North Sea of Okhotsk was carried out by 21 vessels, the quotas of 14 users were mastered, the catch amounted to 61,154 tons compared to 2023 figures - an increase of +16,775 tons (in 2023 the catch was 44,379 tons). In the Western Kamchatka subzone, herring fishing was not carried out (seasonal ban).

In the Sea of Okhotsk (West Kamchatka and Kamchatka-Kuril subzones), since the beginning of the year, 35 vessels have been fishing for cod, catching quotas from 12 users of the Kamchatka Territory, the catch amounted to 4,798 tons, which is +1,137 tons more than the same indicators in 2023 2023 catch – 3,661 tons).
Bering Sea and Eastern Kamchatka (Pollock)
Since the beginning of the year, 14 vessels have operated in the West Bering Sea zone with a quota of 2 users, the catch amounted to 12,577 tons (in 2023, the catch was 21,788 tons).
In the Karaginskaya subzone, 29 vessels operated under a quota of 6 users, the catch was 13,438 tons (in 2023, the catch was 5,453 tons).
In the Petropavlovsko-Komandorsky subzone, 59 vessels operated under quotas of the 31st user, the catch amounted to 38,925 tons (in 2023, the catch was 29,753 tons).

Karaginsk subzone (Pacific herring)
Herring fishing was carried out by 10 vessels under quotas of 4 users, the catch amounted to 5,845 tons (in 2023, the catch was 3,436 tons).
Bering Sea and Eastern Kamchatka (Cod)
In the West Bering Sea zone, 14 vessels operated under a quota of 2 users, the catch amounted to 2,721 tons (in 2023, the catch was 3,423 tons). In the Karaginskaya subzone, 31 vessels operated under quotas of 5 users, the catch amounted to 3,483 tons (in 2023, the catch was 4,558 tons). In the Petropavlovsko-Komandorsky subzone, 56 vessels operated under quotas of 26 users, the catch was 9,403 tons (in 2023, the catch was 8,416 tons).
