Acuinova and PescaChile sales processes are already undergoing the final stage.
On 5 September the trustees will receive the final bids for both companies, although bankruptcy and expropriation processes are on separate tracks. And on 11 September, PescaChile’s trustee, Herman Chadwick, will announce the allocation.
During the latest Acuinova’s creditors meeting, Mariclara González, its manager, was allowed to postpone the allocation beyond 30 September, only if deemed necessary, Diario Financiero reported.
According to sources of the process, PescaChile -- the Galician multinational Pescanova firm’s subsidiary -- would have five stakeholders, the same number as the one that would be pushing for Acuinova.
In both cases, foreign stakeholders and investment funds would predominate.
The firms Marine Harvest (Norway) and Cooke Aquaculture (Canada) would be competing for the salmon firm while Econsult would be interested in buying PescaChile.
Meanwhile, Nova Austral – the main Acuinova’s asset -- will be sold separately to the fish feed supplier Ewos.
