Isabel canned products distributed in bars and restaurants

The company Calidad Pascual signed a strategic alliance with the group Conservas Garavilla to begin the distribution of Isabel branded canned seafood in bars and restaurants.
The sale of the products will begin this month and the range of canned products will complement Isabel Salad Bowl, directed primarily to the independent food, convenience and vending segments, both companies explained.
The signed agreement is part of the development project of the distribution subsidiary of Calidad Pascual -- Qualianza --, who becomes a strategic partner of Garavilla.
In the first stage, sales will begin in Qualianza delegations in Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Santander and Alicante, and it will later be extended to the rest of their delegations and to Calidad Pascual’s independent distributors.
The partnership will help strengthen the presence of the brands of both companies in the hotel trade channel, stressed Juan Corrales, Garavilla’s delegate councilor.
Meanwhile, Calidad Pascual director general, Ignacio García-Cano, remarked it is a "relevant" partnership with a company with similar interests, Europa Press reported.
"One of our strengths is the ability to penetrate into the market through its own wide sales network. The strategic plan of Calidad Pascual intends to value this key asset: Our widespread distribution business, especially in the hotel trade channel," he pointed out.
In the hotel trade market, canned seafood generates revenue of more than EUR 400 million annually. Of that total, about 55 per cent corresponds to the different tuna varieties and other specialties such as mussels, sardines and mackerel.
